The National Peoples Power (NPP) led by Anura Kumara Dissanayake has refused to join the all-party Government of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He said the President is not clear about the mandate of the all-party Government.
Dissanayake said that the NPP has proposed forming an all-party Government which gives all the political parties equal rights in the temporary Government.
However, he said the all-party Government proposed by the President will give the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna a bigger say.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe today repeated calls to form an all-party Government.
He said that Parliament must be united and not divided to address the current crisis.
The President said that some political parties have already expressed interest to join the all-party Government.
The President expressed these views while making the policy speech of the new Government in Parliament today.
