Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Colombo today gathered the media fraternity to express gratitude for the support rendered for the year gone by and to discuss the upcoming seasonal plans at the three Colombo properties, Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, and Cinnamon Red Colombo. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Area Vice President – Colombo, Kamal Munasinghe speaking at the event noted, “The year 2022 has been a significant turning point for Sri Lanka as we strive to revive tourism and uplift the image of the country. Our island nation has been through a tough couple of years but we have remained resilient and emerged stronger than ever and it is time for us to not just regain our former glory but also present ourselves as a must visit destination. We have said this time and time again, but it must be reiterated that we have to think beyond the traditional offering that Sri Lanka has presented to the world for decades and look at new strategies, new markets and new avenues of marketing everything that we have to offer”.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Colombo which operates three distinct properties within the Colombo city limits also revealed its plans for the upcoming season. A plethora of activities and curated experiences have been designed for the entire family, sports enthusiasts, travellers escaping the cold winters, those returning home after not being able to travel for several years and even the discerning business traveller are in the pipeline.
Cinnamon Grand Colombo will celebrate a White Christmas that signifies reflection and the thought of illuminating the way. This year kicks off with festivities as early as Thanksgiving in November, while Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo goes vintage with a combination of old meets new – but not so old and not so new being brought in for the season. The younger and bolder Cinnamon Red Colombo will be adorned with stars and baubles with its signature “Red” incorporated into a Rad Red Christmas, the décor to give that festive look and feel.
